A bright flourish of silver plate for tabletop or vanity: eight petal-like lobes radiate from an ornate, repoussé scroll centre, the whole form lifted on three neat ball feet to let light play beneath. At 16 cm across it’s sized for chocolates, jewellery or a scattering of keys, while the softly fluted rim echoes 18th-century rocaille elegance without the formality.
Electro-Plated Nickel Silver (EPNS) emerged from the Sheffield workshops in the mid-1800s as an affordable alternative to sterling; by the 1950s pieces like this brought a dash of ceremony to everyday tea trays and mantel displays. Retaining a gentle patina that speaks to its decades of service, the dish is ready for a fresh chapter—whether holding sea-salt caramels or catching sunlight on an open shelf.
