A weighty little study in texture: thick, clear pressed glass punctuated by rows of raised bubbles, cradled inside a pierced metal ring with three gently curved rests. At just 11 cm across, it sits happily on a bar cart, bedside, or desk—catching ash, matches, or the day’s pocket trinkets with equal grace.
The combination of cool glass and perforated alloy echoes the work of Swedish maker Ystad-Metall, whose designer Gunnar Ander championed tactile contrasts throughout the 1950s. Their small accessories brought Modernist clarity to everyday rituals; today the soft, time-earned patina lends quiet character while the minimalist form slips seamlessly into contemporary vignettes—try it as a tealight cup or sculptural ring dish when smoking is off-duty.
